“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive adoption as God’s children. And because we are His children, God has sent for the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Papa, Father!” Therefore I am no longer a slave but a daughter, and if a daughter, than an heir of God through Christ.”
“You have confidence in me, in the Lord, that I have no other mind; but he who troubles me is bearing his judgment, whoever he is.”
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we reap when we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He grant me, according to the riches of His glory, strength with might through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ dwells in my heart through faith; that I, being rooted and grounded in love, am able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height–to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that I am filled with all the fullness of God.”
“I stand therefore, having girded my waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I am able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with a prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints–and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! May my gentleness be known to all. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I make my requests known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guards my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Finally, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things. The things which I am learning and receiving and hearing and seeing, these do, and the God of peace is with me.”
